All the GuardOne GPS/GSM satellite mobile unit are base on three basic technologies:
- GPS (Global Positioning System) which allows to determine the exact position of the vehicles by constantly receiving data from the satellites.
- GSM/GPRS communications channel used by the GuardOne GPS/GSM satellite mobile unit to communicate with the GuardOne Monitoring Centre and transfer the necessary data.
- CPU (Central Processing Unit) capable or running the on-board powerful software meant to manage the mobile unit, collect the necessary data, manage the accessories connected to the mobile unit, generate alarm signals, monitor and trigger inputs and outputs, etc., etc.
hanks to the continuous miniaturisation process of the newly designed mobile units, their installation has become simple and possible at several different places inside the vehicle.
